Studio sale 5. I loved doing this wee figure study. There are so many ways to approach such a painting. I find it hard to follow recipies at the best of times, so each time I paint I feel like a beginner. It's a pain in the arse some times, but a pleasure at others. I enjoyed playing with contrast between sharp edges and soft edges, using a new limited palette of transparent reds, yellows and a blue.
